EIRMC Cancer Screenings Set for Oct. 29

Idaho Falls, ID – Annual screenings for various types of cancer are still the gold standard in medical practice. A recent study challenged this commonly-held belief, but EIRMC still supports guidelines set forth by the American Cancer Society that recommends annual exams for prostate, breast, oral, and skin cancers, particularly for people with a family history or of a certain age.

EIRMC is hosting its 9^th annual Community Cancer Screening this Saturday. Free screenings are slated for breast, skin, colon and oral cancer, along with $15 reduced-cost screenings for prostate cancer. Women also can get a risk factor analysis for cervical, ovarian and other gynecological cancers. Pre-registration required. Call 535-4226.
