EIRMC Cancer Resource Center

This facility is located inside EIRMC's Cancer Center. It provides a host of services to cancer patients and their families, such as an assortment of hats and wigs, low-cost lodging and access to a wealth of information and support groups.

Women's Support Group

This support group is for women who are cancer survivors. The group meets at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at Snake River Oncology, 2330 Desoto Street, Idaho Falls.

General Support Group

This support group is for everyone touched by cancer: survivors, spouses, family members and caregivers. The group meets at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of every month at the Villa Coffeehouse, 344 Park Avenue in Idaho Falls.

Look Good Feel Better

This support group is for women over 18 who are receiving cancer treatment. Members receive a consultation with a licensed cosmetologist, a makeup kit valued at over $200, wigs, hats, scarves, and products to care for their skin, hair and nails. All of this is free of charge. The group meets from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the second Tuesday of every month at the Cancer Resource Center.

Reach to Recovery

Sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone. The Reach to Recovery program pairs newly diagnosed breast cancer patients with volunteers who have survived similar circumstances. Patients can be referred to the program through their doctor, or through the American Cancer Society.

Lodging Program

Cancer patients in town for treatments or medical appointments can find affordable lodging in furnished apartments at various establishments in Idaho Falls. The lodging packages also include food.

Road to Recovery

This group is associated with the American Cancer Society and provides free transportation to and from medical appointments for cancer patients who might not be able afford a ride by other means.

College scholarship program for cancer survivors

This scholarship program is designed to ease the financial and emotional hardships associated with fighting cancer and to assist young cancer survivors in reaching their academic potential and fulfilling career dreams.

Casting for Recovery

This organization provides an opportunity for women whose lives have been affected by breast cancer to gather in a natural setting and learn the sport of fly fishing. The retreats also offer an opportunity to meet new friends, network, exchange information, and have fun.
