- Number of hospitals in the state other than EIRMC with a Level 1 Intensive Care Unit: 0
- Number of hospitals in the region other than EIRMC with 24/7 neurotrauma services: 0
- Annual E.R. visits: 42,000
- Capacity in emergency exam and treatment rooms: 30
- Door-to-balloon time (ER to cardiac catheterization lab) average: 61 minutes (compared to a 90-minute national goal.)
- Number of patients turned away from Emergency Room for inability to pay: 0
- Annual number of rescues by Air Idaho Rescue: More than 800
- Primary air rescue service area: 150 mile-radius
- Secondary air rescue service area: all of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah
Facts:
- Level II Trauma Center designation by the American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma, a distinction belonging to just over 100 of America's nearly 5,000 hospitals
- The state’s largest and most modern ICU, with full-time intensivists and 30 beds dedicated to the most critically ill and injured patients
- Recipient of 2005 Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence, awarded by the American Association of Critical Care nurses. The only one in Idaho, and one of only ten in the nation
- Emergency Department is a 2010 recipient of the Qualis Health Award of Excellence in Healthcare Quality for its work in improving the quality of healthcare and patient safety
- Community’s only 24/7/365 emergency facility
- One of only two Idaho hospitals to receive a national award in respiratory care in 2004 from the American Association of Respiratory Care
- Air Idaho Rescue has helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft and ground rescue capabilities
- Neonatal and maternal transport capabilities
