Our Results: Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center's New U Program has been recognized as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence® (BSCOE), the gold standard of accreditation for bariatric surgery programs. The certification program is tough, comprehensive and increasingly recognized by leading government and private insurers when making coverage decisions.
The BSCOE designation helps any concerned spouse, parent or inquiring patient from any walk of life to identify surgeons and facilities providing superior bariatric surgery care without having to do any of the heavy lifting.
What does this mean for you? Simple: peace of mind.
Surgical weight loss is serious business, and we earned the BSCOE designation by achievement in the areas most vital to you in a surgical weight loss program. The New U Program’s BSCOE rating means lower complication rates, a committed long-term aftercare program, and most importantly, outstanding patient outcomes. We’ve got a proven record when it comes to helping you get the ultimate weight loss result.
We don’t take this prestigious designation for granted. Just like our patients, we know we have to work hard and stay focused. We face a full re-evaluation every three years.
Two key elements of designation are education and commitment. BSCOE surgeons must be board-certified and demonstrate significant expertise in bariatric surgery. They must also stay abreast of the most current and appropriate treatments through ongoing continuing medical education.
From our first-rate staff to our state-of-the-art facilities, we at EIRMC work every day to live up to our Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence designation, and most importantly, to our patients' expectations.
