Burn care
In our specially equipped burn care center, our attentive team consults specialists, uses advanced life-support technology and conducts 24/7 monitoring. Upon release, treatment may involve plastic surgery, wound care or outpatient physical therapy.
Heart attack care
If you or a loved one is experiencing a heart attack, our cardiologists immediately begin care to help prevent permanent damage. The innovative surgeons on our cardiology team perform multiple types of heart surgery, using a minimally invasive approach whenever possible.
To help regain independence as fully as possible, we coordinate treatment in the ICU and provide cardiac rehabilitation services.
Stroke care
Our facility is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. Such certification means our specialists are committed to positive outcomes by delivering the highest quality stroke care possible.
If you or a loved one experiences a stroke, our team works with neurologists and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel to deliver tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). This clot-dissolving drug helps to prevent loss of life and reduce permanent damage. Receiving tPA within the first two to three hours after the onset of symptoms is crucial.
William's story
William DeJong was run over by a 30-ton feed truck, crushing both of his legs and leaving him perilously close to death. Now, he's grateful to be back working on his dairy farm and enjoying his family, thanks to the care he received at EIRMC.
